What we asked for: Any interagency agreement, memorandum of understanding, statement of work, or task order between the Election Assistance Commission and the National Design Studio (or the Executive Office of the President) about vote.gov — or any preview, replacement, or redesign of it — dated from January 1, 2026 on. We said we were not asking for general emails.

What we got: A one-line answer: "The EAC does not possess records responsive to your request." No records were sent. The letter gives 90 days to appeal.

What happened next: our request only covered 2026, but the National Design Studio's vote.gov preview existed earlier, so we filed a new request for August–December 2025 (EAC 26-0083, still pending).
