Washington County Sheriff — the office's emails mentioning both "Tyler Robinson" and "video": released, 101 documents in six volumes

Washington County Sheriff's Office — Records · asked Jul 9, 2026 · fee set Jul 29 · fee paid Aug 1 · delivered Aug 3, 2026 · 101 documents, 329 pages

What we asked for: as part of the July 9, 2026 request about Tyler Robinson's surrender at the Sheriff's Office (see the office's reply), all correspondence about any earlier records request for the surrender video: the requests, the answers, and any internal discussion. The office met this part by searching its email from after September 10, 2025 for messages containing both “Tyler Robinson” and “video,” leaving out email to or from the county attorney's office.

What we got: the full set, 101 documents, after paying the $65.22 fee set in the July 29, 2026 fee letter (plus a $2.00 card charge). They are grouped here into six bookmarked volumes, exactly as provided. Volumes 1–2: other people's records requests for the surrender video and the office's replies, including requests from Fox News, Scripps News, Court TV, Judicial Watch, and independent journalists. Volume 3: records appeals, including the scheduling and mediation notices in State Records Committee appeal #2025-150 (Scripps News v. Washington County). Volume 4: office correspondence, tips, and media questions. It includes a November 25, 2025 reply from Barry Golding of the Sheriff's Office: “No videos are missing; all of our video footage relative to the surrender of Tyler Robinson has been sent to the prosecuting agency, the Utah County Attorney's Office.” It also includes the July 16, 2026 internal email that set up the search for this release and left out email to or from the county attorney's office, and a Utah County Attorney's Office “Notice of Records Restriction” asking the office to withhold all records about the shooting. Volume 5: our own requests as the office holds them (contact details blacked out). Volume 6: newsletters and news-digest emails that happened to match the search words. Blackouts marked in the files are the Sheriff's Office's, citing §§ 63G-2-302(2)(d) and 63G-2-305(51) (personal privacy, and private home addresses and phone numbers).
